Founded in 2015 by John Biehler, Cactus Studios was created to share the wonders of 3D Printing as widely as possible.
An avid photographer and generally curious geek, John discovered 3D printing in 2009 and built his first 3D printer shortly thereafter. Since then, he has been actively sharing his knowledge about the technology with thousands of people around the world at workshops, conferences, on television and radio, as well as online.
Before creating Cactus Studios, he co-founded 3D604.org, a ‘support group’ for 3D printing enthusiasts. His first book, "3D Printing with Autodesk" was published in 2014 by Pearson. He recently completed work on the 3DCanada project, working with Douglas Coupland, on a multi-year, Canada-wide 3D scanning and printing art project which will be unvieled in the Summer of 2018.
